Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock, SPF 70, 1.4 fl oz
My Disclaimer: I know that not all of my products are natural, (lol), but like I said, its a journey and I'm getting there.. I do love my make-up and if I can't find something all natural I try to get the next best thing.
Having provided my disclaimer, lets move on shall we! TIP: If you don't do so already, one of the best things you can do for your face is wear sunscreen/sunblock everyday. All skin shades need protection from the sun to prevent wrinkles, cracks, avoid skin cancer etc. I've been doing this for about 6 years based on the recommendation of a phenomenal esthetician that I was seeing when my skin was in MAJOR disarray. Part of my daily morning routine now includes applying sunblock/sunscreen to my face. Yes! You read it right. For the past few years, I've used Obagi sunscreen (amazing stuff). While I love this product, its always good to explore and test new products and I was looking for a sunscreen that did not contain zinc. Some sunscreens/sunblocks that contain zinc can leave a white residue on your face. While in Target yesterday, I came across a new zinc- free sunblock by Neutrogena, Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock, SPF 70. What caught my attention was Neutrogena's claim that it works beautifully alone or under makeup and moisturizers.
I have really oily skin, so I actually DON'T put any moisturizer on my skin during the day, just a sunscreen and Jojoba oil around my eyes and mouth, so I thought this would be good under my make-up. (BONUS TIP: At bedtime I put Jojoba oil, Vitamin E OR Almond oil on my face and wake to a fully moisturized and revived face!) I figured I would give this product a whirl, right? Why not? After all, I am a product junkie and love trying new things. I did read that some people felt a burning tingling after applying, so as soon as I got home, I tested some inside my wrist to see if I had an allergic reaction. (I have sensitive skin --- geesh.. oily and sensitive skin.. what a combination right? :) Anyway, I had no allergic reaction to it. I applied it this morning and it feels great! Weightless, NO white residue, no burning/tingling sensation.. so far so good! So, I would recommend it! Has anyone else tried it? LMK your results!
